Assisted living communities are an ideal option for seniors who are still predominantly healthy and independent but require regular assistance with ADLs or Activities of Daily Living. Assisted living communities provide residents with a safe environment to keep up an active and social lifestyle.
Grand Oaks assisted living communities cater to each resident using individualized care plans to meet every resident’s unique needs. Residents live primarily on their own or with a spouse, with support from caregivers as required. A caregiver’s primary responsibility is to assist residents with ADLs.
These activities can include:
In addition to ADLs, Grand Oaks offers residents premier services such as:
Accompaniment on scheduled medical visits
Nurse either available or on-site, around the clock
Access to experienced health professionals
Visiting Physicians available for next day appointments
Emergency call system responder on-site 24 hours a day
Routine health and wellness assessments
Grand Oaks also endeavors to provide residents with the comforts of home plus a number of luxuries. Our communities offer amenities including an assortment of attractive floor plan options, multiple activity rooms, a spacious front porch, community TV viewing area, and a refreshing spa. Residents are also encouraged to participate in weekly scheduled activities and events such as game nights, wine tastings, and themed socials to form friendships and a sense of togetherness.
Our 38-foot-long mobile medical clinic, the Florence Nightingale Express, travels our 13-county service area providing essential exams, tests, vaccinations and treatments to indigent and uninsured at no cost.
If you are familiar with the Visiting Nurse Association of Florida, you might already know about the home healthcare services we’ve been providing for nearly 40 years. But there are some things you may not know about us, such as our Foundation that provides healthcare to people in the community who are contending with hard times, unemployment, even homelessness.
